BIOS 2.77 upgrade lost Audio

After upgrading the EliteOne 800 G1 to BIOS version 2.77 the system is no longer able to play audio.

Normally using Windows 10, I have checked everything and also tested with Linux livecd distros where audio is not playing too. This is just to rule out driver issues etc.

The system will show like audio is playing based on dynamic volume graphs, but there is no audio coming from built in speaker or neither if I plug in external headset or speakers into jack.

Inserting an external USB soundcard works of course with audio coming from external soundcard.

I updated the PC according to the SoftPaq SP96014 published, however I can see today it looked like the 2.77 BIOS has been pulled, since all of sudden only an old BIOS 2.70 from 2016 (SP77880) is available.

does device manager show the audio device as working? (no yellow or red marks next to the audio device)

how is the audio connected, from the audio jack on the system, or a addin sound card, or from the cable that comes from the video card

there is usually a bios setting for onboard audio that may be "reset" or changed on a bios update try toggling this setting between enabled/disabled

Windows device manager shows the device as working. System was also tested with Ubuntu distro which detected the card, but also did not produce any sound.

Regarding output, as stated this an EliteOne 800 which is an AiO, with built-in speaker. Neither built-in speak will produce any sound, nor if you put in headphones into the minijack output. There is nothing related to videocards.

BIOS only have device security settings for setting the onboard audio to visible or hidden status. I have tried toggling the setting with no change other than hidden mode will remove the onboard audio from device manager.

Reverting to default configuration in BIOS (with onboard audio visible) did not resolve the situation either.
