Z420 Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello Sir/Madam,

The BIOS version is automatically downgraded after installing new OS In My Z420 Workstation. 

Why ?

Please Help

no way a OS install will/can affect a bios, the only way to cause a bios revision change is through a Bios updater application, and they provide several warnings/prompts relating to a pending bios update with a final yes/no prompt before starting a flash

 

note that HP will be allowing  bios updating (no downgrading) from the win 10 "windows update" for some consumer model systems starting some time next year (2021)  however currently this is not active/available for HP workstations

 

you have something else going on, and you will need to provide a much more detailed description that includes the old ver bios  number and the new one and where you got the win 10 installer

 

enter the bios. and read what revision it's showing
