Elite 8200 SFF
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi.

The current bios version loaded on my desktop Elite 8200 SFF is  J01 v02.15. What are the benefits or drawbacks if any, in updating to bios version 02.29 Rev. A? I'm mainly concerned with fan speed and noise. Are there any changes to the fan settings in this update?

Thank you.

Hi:

Updating to v2.29 is not a good idea if you ever plan to upgrade to W10.

See why below...

No problems with v2.28.  Fans are quiet as always.  No additonal noise.

I have run every OS on my 8200 Elite CMT from XP 64 bit through W10 (latest release).
