Can a HP 8300 SFF motherboard and processor be installed in a HP 8000SFF?

the boards and power supplies are the same in terms of mounting points and power connections, the 8000 and the 8300 have the same ports  and locations for the rear I/O and since these systems cases use stamped cutouts for the ports they are interchangeable for most later models

i'm running a 6200 case with a 8300 board installed, note that the only main difference between the 6200 6300 8300 is the onboard SATA, 620 is SATA 3 6300 is one each SATA 3/6 and 8300 is two SATA 6 ports

the elite 8000/8200/8300 and the 6000/6200/6300 pro are interchangeable (the HP 6005 is also interchangeable)

as all models use the same rear I/O layout and power supplies

the earlier 4000 systems are not interchangeable due to a different rear I/O config
