Basically what it says above. I wish to upgrade the storage of my HP all-in-one k320ne device and eke out a couple more years of passable performance but there aren't any extra storage bays in there..

 

So what I am hoping to do is use a bootable 256GB mSATA SSD alongside the preinstalled 1TB HDD.

 

Can this be done?

your system is a consumer product not a workstation/business system so this may not be the best place to post your question

 

with the above said a look at the "quickspecs" for your system

the motherboard picts shows two sockets, but the specs say only a "PCI Express half-size mini card socket" is available this socket is almost always wired for a Bluetooth/wireless card and is not usually compatible with any SSD cards

 

the other socket looks like a MSata socket, i would visit crucial.com and see what their config program says about your system if you still are not sure, you can buy a cheap msata small capacity card off ebay as a test to check if it is indeed a msata socket on your board
