Hp compaq pro 6300 sff
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey! So i have a question and was hoping to find an answer from someone who has been through it or from a tech. Because i have found several different answers, or there are little details about the other persons question compared to mine. I have a Compaq pro 6300 sff at my office. It decided over the weekend to quit working correctly. I will power it on, it turns on with a green LED and will stay green but i get 5 short beeps, and it just stays that way, doesnt beep again, just the first 5 one time. After it sits for a little while longer the power supply fan will sound like a jet engine taking off but thats the only thing it will do. No other beeps or signals as to whats wrong.

5 beeps is memory related, either bad ram module, not seated correctly, wrong ram installed, or if using only 2 sticks, ram placed in wrong memory bank
