Hi, I have an older lab top HP computer that my wife gave me.

I used it pretty often but haven’t used it in the last 6 months. In order to get into the computer a password is needed.  I’m typing in the same word I’ve always used.  (It’s taped to the computer) and it says “that password is in correct. Make sure you are using the password from your Microsoft account”.

there is an email address on the screen that my wife no longer uses and because of that I couldn’t figure out how to change or reset the password.

how do I reset the password or get it so I can use the computer.

thank you
