DL580 GEN 8 - 16*32GB PC3 4RX4 14900L-13 not running at 1600mhz

Hi, 

I have a DL580 Gen 8 with quad E7-4890v2s and have replaced my 32 * 16GB 2Rx4 PC3L 12800R with 16 * 32GB PC3 4Rx4 14900L-13 with the sole intention of it running at 1600mhz as stated in the product documentation. Unfortunately no matter what I try I can not get it to run above 1333mhz.

Any help would be greatly received as this has been an expensive mistake so far and it actually runs slower than the 32* 16GB 2Rx4 PC3L 12800R 🤦

DL580 G10 will support 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB DDR4 Registered.  up to 2TB

This server will also support 32GB, 64GB. 128GB Load Reduced Modules (LRDIMM) for memory configs greater than 2TB up to 6TB (if all 4 cpu's are installed)

you cannot mix load reduced and normal dimms together

Depending on the number of DIMMs installed, whether LRDIMMs or RDIMMs are installed, and whether the
installed DIMMS are  standard or low voltage, the memory clock speed can be reduced to 1333 or 1066 MT/s.

i recommend you read the 580 gen 8 user manual in particular pages 47-53
