HP pavilion x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Unsure if the board suits the question I am going to ask but I really need some help here.

I have a hp  pavilion and my job gave me a HP 120w G2 docking station to use at home to connect to an external monitor at home to work off. It doesn’t seem to allow me to connect my laptop to the docking station as it just won’t turn on and I don’t understand why.

I tried looking it up to no avail I thought it was the docking station and I brought it into my job and tried it on the HP pro books 440s we had and it turned on instantly

I’m unsure if I need specific drivers to allow this to work any help would be much appreciated thanks

the HP 120w G2 is a Thunderbolt dock, and is only useable on devices that support thunderbolt and i doubt your pavilion is thunderbolt enabled, most consumer systems usually only support port replicators (not docks) if they support any type of port expanders
