Dose Z820 support SAS SSD drives?

the guides for both systems give the LSI controller speeds the Intel "SCU" speeds and the std Intel sata ports 

 

page 5 (interfaces supported) HP z820 "QuickSpecs"

z800 LSI is sata 3GBps SAS 6GBps

 

z820 is sata "SCU" ports 3GBps and the 2 Intel native ports 6GBps   LSI is sata 3GBps SAS 6GBps

yes the z820/z800 both have motherboards with a LSI (ROC) Raid On Chip which supports SAS/SATA

 

please read the HP user manual for more information

 

the LSI ports are the ones at the bottom of the motherboard

Thanks for the quick reply, I have gone through these guides, but SAS SSD drives throughput is 12Gb/s so asking if this motherboard is capable of transferring such speeds.
