Hello all 👋🏽

I accidentally installed the BIOS for HP elitedesk 800 g1 (L01 2.78). Now I tried to create a recovery USB flash disk but without success, because it has a rollback protection from 2.78...

The PC works so far without problems for months, but neither firmware nor uefi can be installed.

How do I get my real BIOS installed now?

you might want to simply buy a new motherboard, i've just checked ebay and they are available (new) for about 50.00 USD including shipping  and about 24.00 used + shipping

 

the elitedesk 800 gi is also a direct drop-in replacement that has more pci-e slots

note that the tower and SFF motherboards are slightly different in the leftmost pcie slot length while both will work in the tower case the tower board is preferred for the tower case
