Hi we have some Z4 G4 workstations that have a i9 processor.  Intel AMT will not enable and I have found some documentation that supports this:

NOTE:

Intel AMT is not available on Intel Core X configurations.

Is anyone able to confirm if replacing the i9 chip with a xeon will enable Intel AMT?

Thanks!

Ok this is a two part answer

1. you are correct the non xeon based g4's (Core-X systems) do not support "AMT" only the G4 "W" series (xeon based) does

2, you can not change the  i9 cpu to a xeon, as the two use completely different motherboards (and cases)

please take the time to read the HP "quickspecs" which covers this
