I accidentally apply TPM firmware update before installing windows system update. The error message is still alive. The error message is "TPM firmware update is needed ". I want to know how to tackle this problem.

Is it possible to resolve this error If I reinstall the windows OS on the system?

If it is not then how to resolve the problem?

when asking for help details count, if possible please provide....

do you know what the previous "TPM" revision was?, if not what was the name of the file you used to update? was it this one?  https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp82001-82500/sp82407.exe this is the latest revision

windows 7/8 can only work with TPM  v1.2

and since HP never certified win 10 on this model, there will not be a 2.0 update from HP

do you have the latest Bios installed? (what is the current revision)

windows 10 can work with either TPM 1.2 or 2.0 (it favors 2.0 however)

did this message appear when you upgraded the OS to windows 10? if so read this link and configure TPM for v1.2

I used SP82407 to update TPM firmware.

BIOS version 80.28.

I didn't upgrade my system from windows 7 to windows 10.  I install windows 10 directly to my system.

One thing is I didn't update windows system update before applying TPM firmware update (using SP82407).

Current TPM version 1.2

Current Manufacture version 3.32

your system never came with windows 10,..... it was only available from HP with windows 7 or 8

if you did a clean install of windows 10 that is still considered a OS upgrade.......

i was asking "if" you had used the system without any errors when the installed OS was either win 7 or 8 and if the mesg about TPM appeared right after the win 10 install or later....  you may have enabled win10 bitlocker which can cause a TPM msg

since the TPM firmware update was just a minor revision of the existing TPM 1.2.xxxxx to fix known security issues it does not matter when it was updated,... there is no requirement that windows needs a specific TPM fix/patch before updating a existing TPM 1.2 xxxx to a later 1.2 build.
