Hi All.
Have read through a number of 1903 issues here, but none quite like this.
1903 has failed to install 6 times since June, as in the pic below.
Win 10 actually runs fine, and so do all the Apps. Drivers are up to date and good.
The (small) issue is that when it tries to update, it hangs the machine whilst trying/waiting for the upgrade to be applied.
This seems to be taking longer each time it tries. Yesterday it took nearly 3 hours to come back. But runs fine.
The error code suggests driver problems, but they are all up to date.
It seems in Win10 I cant block upgrades, I can only defer them. (now set to 60 days - to allow me to do something with your collective support.
So:
1. Is Win10 1903 / 1909 supported on the Elite 8300?
2. Can I resolve the update problem?

errors on updating a existing win 10 to a newer build can fail for numerous reasons however the 8300 elite hardware is not one of them as the hardware was available before win 10 was released therefor win 10 includes all necessary drivers
your error code is usually driver related IE- a installed driver is the cause the update failed, remove things like antivirus and unused software

did you do the win 7 to win 10 upgrade if so you have a digital license from MS tied to that motherboard and in this case i would simply download the latest v1909 installer from MS and do a clean install the only driver you might want to manually install is the Intel RSTe driver for setting/changing the cache/error msg settings (win 10 includes the base RSTe driver)
which release are you currently on 1903? if so be aware that the 1903 to 1909 update is only a FEATURE update not a major OS release, 1909 only adds several new features and makes no major changes to the OS
You must have the following prerequisites installed before applying this update:
- Servicing stack update for Windows 10 version 1903 that is dated September 24, 2019 or a later servicing stack update
- Cumulative Update for Windows 10 version 1903 that is dated October 8, 2019 or a later cumulative update

i have currently updated from win 7 to win 10, (and then did a clean win 10 reinstall) the 4000/4300 6000/6300 and 8000 elite systems and since the same board is used in both the SFF and tower systems this covers just about all systems in this class i also have not heard about any issues with the 8300 with win 10 either
