post is not really clear....................
but i question why you are not simply using a power strip that has a master power on/off switch and placing it where you want it

like i said, your original post was not clear...................now that you have provided needed information read below
the power button will be a normally open momentary type switch (2 pins) however if the switch has lighting then you will have more pins to enable lighting
many newer systems have the switch mounted/soldered to a circuit board, however the operation of the switch remains the same (push to turn on and push/hold to turn off)
