I own an HP EliteBook 1030, I experienced a troubling problem which is the screen touching on its own and making the cursor non-functional. I have cleaned the screen, restarted the system and and done a system boot but the ghost touch didn't stop.
What should be done about this to fix it permanently?

Here is a guide to disable the touch screen. Also included is a troubleshooting guide for touch screen issues.

You might want/need to read thru this guide, also.

I'm not an HP employee.
