HP Compaq 6005 Pro cpu upgrade

Dear all,

I have HP Compaq 6005 Pro Small Form Factor with AMD Phenom II x2 B55 cpu on it.

As we all know, there is a posibility to unlock addtional cores on Phenom cpu's.

Is there any posibility to unlock AMD Phenom II x2 B55 for 4 cores in this motherboard?

I have latest bios but there is still no any cpu advanced settings in bios to overlock or to unlock addtion cores.

Any suggestion?

I've read that this motheboard supply some of Phenom II with 4 cores which do not exceed 95 watts.

I realy need 4 cores in this pc. Thanks.

Re: HP Compaq 6005 Pro cpu upgrade

Business PCs do not support overclocking. They are designed for business use and stable, long lifecycles. Overclocking is one of those things that can quickly undermine the stability and longetivity of the motherboard

Check with hardware forums for this question. Try Tom's Hardware (look up on internet)
