Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

The company I work at uses the E24M 4G workstations. However when plugging into them (USB-C), it very often disables the 3.5mm audio headset I am using. I get that the workstation has audio on the monitors, but when I go to switch back to my headset, it does not get recognized as a device. I am sometimes able to get it to work, but it very often causes problems.

This is particularly true when using MS Teams. When starting a meeting the MS Teams normally crashes due to these audio problems. In fact, when I try and go to audio settings, the settings windows also freezes.  The audio device in "devices" does not allow to be restarted (as some forums recommended).

I found a discussion someone posted in the PC forums that had the exact problem (but no solution provided):

I was able to fix this. It seems a problem with Teams as a whole.

Go to audio settings after plugging into a station or monitor etc. and make sure default devices are the normal audio drivers of your computer (and not the Monitor). It will remember those settings and not cause your teams to freeze up and die.
