HP Envy 34c
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The screen started getting lines down the right side. The area is a vertical strip about inch and a quarter wide that is opaque but top edge looks like it is melting or something. This started a couple months ago. I have reset to factory settings and have no resolution. Can't seem to get ahold of HP to see about a repair option. Ironically it is the most expensive monitor in the house and the only one with an issue.

@Java1960 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that HP Envy 34c started having an area a little over an inch wide down the right side that is fading.

In that case, I would suggets you contact our phone support and check for the support option. They will help you.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.

Keep us posted,

I tried that and the **bleep** site sends me in circles and only will direct me to the support forum, it will not give me the chat or phone contact option.
