HP Pro 6000 SFF
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have 4 HP Pro 6000 SFF computers and none of them will eject the DVD.

Is there a BIOS setting that might be preventing this?  These were used in a classroom and I suspect someone set them up so the students couldn't use the DVD drives.  I swapped one from another machine that I know works, and it wont eject either.

Hi:

I don't see any BIOS settings listed in the F10 setup manual that would prevent the DVD drives from working properly.

The only suggestion I can offer, would be to clear the CMOS on the affected PC's, and see if that resolves the problem...

See the troubleshooting guide at the link below, Appendix B, pp 63-64 for how to clear the CMOS.

Thanks - clearing CMOS worked on the first one - I will try the others later today.
