It is an HP ProDesk 600 G3 SFF, model: [removed].

Bought with a normal SSD. Now the SSD was expanded and a M.2 SSD installed, So a Sandisk X400 SSD 256GB M.2 2280th

Unfortunately, this M.2 is not detected in the BIOS or W10 setup as a disk?

Test this M.2 inserted into an SSD adapter, here it is recognized properly!

Have read that a so-called. NVM driver is needed? Already had contact with the Sandisk support, here I got the info that no Treinber is needed ....?

Is there a general INTEL NVM driver which then detects the M.2 during installation?

Why is this not displayed to me in the BIOS, or which BIOS settings I have to choose, have tried a lot around, but nothing works, Bios is by the way the latest version.

the sandisk x400 is a standard STAA 3 based SSD device, as such no drivers are required

you are not clear on what is the problem......

is the sandisk not seen when inserted into the motherboard M.2 slot?  but is seen when installed on a PCI-e M.2 board?

on some systems the M.2 slot is disabled in the Bios and/or if some bios options are enabled

which m.2 slot are you trying to use? your system has two M.2 slots, a normal slot that is a x4 lane for ssd's and a x1 slot that is for the wireless cards. this wireless card M.2 slot DOES NOT SUPPORT SSD's due to it's x1 lane

Thanks for the support. No, it was not the PCI-e adapter meant, but a SATA m.2 adapter like this one ... https://www.amazon.de/Icy-Box-IB-M2S251-Konverter-Geh%C3%A4use-Aluminium-Schwarz/dp/B01NCSW7ND/ref=s.... 2 + + SATA adapter this will detect the m.2. In bios, of course, both m.2 slots are enabled with the m.2 SSD mounted on the correct slot (x1), otherwise not possible, since it is a 2280 design.

the SATA to M.2 adapter you linked to  is compatable with your 2280 form factor  SSD and should be attached to a SATA port on your motherboard

again,....the x1 M.2 slot is not suitable for SSD'S they will not work in a pci-e   x1 configuration t hp configured this m.2 slot

on your model for low bandwidth pci-e devices, and also included a pci-e x4 M.2 slot for high bandwidth devices like ssd's

a SSD MUST HAVE a minimum of pci-e x2  lanes (or higher) in order to function
