Good Day everyone,
As my laptop's battery keeps downgrading (Error nr #601) I need to replace it.
Although my laptop's is L07350-1C1 HP parts webpage offers just L07044-850 which has a 0,9 Wh lower power supply.
Why doesn't HP keep delivering the one that was originally assembled on its devices?
Thanks in advance.

you need to be aware of several things

first a HP part can have several  numbers retail, replacement, and internal

all 3 numbers will reference the same item

1. HP replacement battery packs will offer the same performance in regards to run time even if the specs do change slightly and are considered the gold standard but you do pay a premium for this guarantee of battery quality

2. changes will happen if the original cells that were used in the battery pack are no longer made, or a equivalent replacement cell is used due to availability/price

3 lower quality cells are usually used in non HP battery packs and these cells are usually of a lower capacity or quality as the seller of these batteries usually try to produce a battery cheaper than the HP one which results in lower runtimes or total battery life/recharge cycles

4. panasonic and sanyo cells are considered by most people to be among the best, and are frequently used by OEM's for their batteries so if looking at 3rd party batteries checking the packs amperage and cell maker is highly recommended

several 3rd party listed battery specs for your laptop model is 95.9Wh/8310mAh and 96Wh/8420mAh both are so close that the difference between them is negligible and will make no difference in the laptops run time

I fully agree with DGroves, and if you want guaranteed best quality we'd both go with the HP-branded newest recommended battery pack. I have seen such crap sold as "compatible" and "equivalent" and then the plastic retainer tabs break off during install and the thing does not make it for a full year. I don't need to replace real HP laptop batteries often, it is normal to have to do that, and I do want the peace of not gambling with my time and productivity.

I don't understand where do you get the data concerning the supply similarity. The webpage just talks about "95Wh 4.15Ah". Do you mean that this could not be true?

Have you ever found out that most times the vendors only put a label with their brand label on other cheaper manufacturers devices?

there is no one defined standard for determining battery wattage/runtimes each vender can and usually will use a slightly different method which results in slightly different laptop battery specs

due to this the listed wattage/runtime between venders/resellers of batteries will differ slightly which i  mentioned in my previous post

and yes, some battery resellers are not the actual makers of the battery pack and simply go to a manufacturer and have their generic battery pack relabled with their label this is a quite common practice in many fields

Just your last point, regarding to the power supply was the main reason why I asked you help for. The power supply of the battery offered at the parts webpage is 0,9 Wh less than the one that's assembled on my laptop. I wouldn't have questioned anything if both would've been approx the same. Normally it's common to install a more powerful batteries instead of less powerful ones and as I had to pay 4 times the market price I wanted not to make any mistake choosing the battery.

Of course, is the only one available when I place my laptop part number/model, but it didn't seem to be logical at all.

Thank you for your help.
