Hello! I have such a problem, HP Support Assistant has already spoiled two computers for me. It shows that there is a BIOS update, after updating the bios, the computer does not start. I called for support twice, for the first time they could not help me, they said contact the service center. The second time I was told that the HP Support Assistant loads the wrong bios, and that it is not necessary to update the bios using the HP Support assistant. But I did not know that this could not be done, and why this erroneous update is still available and continues to spoil computers?

Case Number [edited] (12.24.18)
Case Number [edited] (01.22.18)

The bios recovery instructions: c05182140 and c02693833 do not help me recover bios on HP 280 G1 MT (product no: K3S61EA # ACB)

Should I again give the computer to the service center or can I try to restore it in another way?

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
