Product: z840
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have several question regarding to HP Z Turbo Drive Quad Pro

 

(1) Does HP selling this product must go with SSD or Can we buy only Hardware adapter without buying any SSD

(2) Is this hardware work with any SSD for example such as Samsung 970 EVO NVMe M2 SSD

the HP Z Turbo Drive Quad Pro is a workstation/server grade card,  as such HP only warranties it to work in the listed systems with HP listed SSD's

 

also, the card/ssd's  MUST BE BOUGHT FROM A HP APPROVED reseller or directly from hp in order to have a HP warranty  other non HP auth resellers may offer their own warranty

 

if you want to use non HP ssd's in this card  (in a HP approved system) it should work, but if not,...... that's not hp's fault
