Z2 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello …

I’m trying to install in Z2 G5 the thunderbolt 3 card HP PN 141m7AA, the card is not recognized in windows device manager.

Was installed last bios version, the thunderbolt was configured in the bios, security level disable, tb cable connected in the computer board, the TB firmware was updated when the board was connected in the computer.

The problem is not windows driver, the problem is that HP is not recognizing the board in windows, not appear i in windows device manager.

I have two new HP Z2 G5 and two HP thunderbolt boards and the same problem occurs in the two equipments.

The HP support was contacted and they are checking about this problem but I haven’t the solution for this problem yet.

I’m using the thunderbolt board for data transfer not to connect docking station .

the card will not show in device manager unless a TB device is connected to the card or the "force GPIO" option in the bios is enabled

you must have the TB PCI-E card, cable and the small board that connects to the motherboard if you are missing any of thes the card itself will not work
