HP Z200 Workstation (without additional special type destignation)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hallo HP-Community,

I'm has a big problem with a Computer HP Z200 Workstation (Modell-No. KK623ET). At startup, the message "Management platform in manufacturing mode" appears and after exactly 30 min waiting time the PC is suddenly off. I have read a lot about it in this forum and also in the Win-Raid forum (@lwoody7110). The reason is that the Intel Management Engine is corrupt or damaged in a higher part of the standard BIOS flash memory module or in a from BIOS seperate flash memory module . Even after reading, questions remain:

Question 1:

Exact type of the model corresponding HP Product No. KK623ET?
HP Z200 Workstation (without additional special type destignation) - in my case, but I'm read also:

HP Z200 Workstation CMT (Convertible Mini Tower)
HP Z200 Workstation SFF (Small Form Factor)

HP Z200 Workstation MT (Midi ? Tower)

Which type is fo me true?

Question 2:
Correct version of Intel Management Engine Firmware for me?

The actual BIOS show me version 6.03.1195

On HP Webseite for HP Z200: version 6.0.40.1215 Rev. A under rubrik BIOS from 01 December 2010
Also on HP Webseite only for HP Z200 Workstation CMT and SFF: version 6.2.61.3535 Rev. A under rubrik FIRMWARE from 21 August 2017

Question 3:

Is there a write protection (PIN Jumper bridge) for the Intel Managemet Engine  Firmware part or not on the board? If so, flashing the ME part should never go without first undoing the read-only. The forum talked about undocumented PIN Jumper E15 (but is not equipped with pins) and a Crisis recovery header/jumper (it's the same?) And if that were the case, why is there no reference on HP's official website?

Question 4:

How can I target under DOS only flash the Intel Management Engine firmware (size approximately 5 MB) into the correct higher area of the Flash memory module, which contains additional the approximately size 8 MB BIOS in the lower area or into the separate Flash memory module, which contains only the Intel Management Engine Firmware?

The previous flashing of the BIOS on version 1.22 went smoothly and worked without problems.

Thank for your help.

go back to the win raid (mgmt forum) and post your question there, several very skilled/knowledgeable people there will be able to help you recover from the corrupted mgmt issue

also, as far as i know all versions of the z200 use the same bios/mgmt firmware
