Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi All

I'm getting a little fed up trying to resolve my issue and thus resulted on coming on here and I hope someone can help

I have an old HP Z210 CMT Workstation which I use for my backups. However, the case has been damaged over time and I thought I'd buy a new case and here the fun starts. I need a bracket to hold the CPU fan in place and where ever I go albeit Amazon nothing seems to fit. All the brackets that I see seem to be too small I've looked on the spec document (attached) and I see that the CPU is a INTEL Socket LGA1155 and I looked on Amazon and found one but when it came I tried it and it was too small.

.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me any ideas on how to secure the cpu fan to the board without damaging the mobo.

See Here for the manual http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c027871

There must be someone out there who can help

Many thanks

Paul

are you talking about the CPU heatsink/fan ?

your system uses the lga 1155/1156 style heat sinks as i recall and it's possible to mount a heatsink using just some insulated washers and nuts that fit the threads on the heatsink screws but this is far from ideal a better method is to take a existing backplate that fits the cpu area on the board without shorting traces or parts and then either tap the necessary screw holes or drill out holes and spot weld the correct nuts to the backplate

or see if this fits
