HP Z210 Workstation RAM upgrade

Has anyone tried this Crucial module with the Z210 https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr3/ct102464bd160b?

According to Crucial's compatibility checker, it shouldn't work but I heard that it isn't accurate all the time.

the crucial compatibility checker simply lists/shows ram that either HP or crucial has validated as working to spec in the listed system(s) other ram may also work but is either untested or not approved for the z210 supported ram depends on the cpu installed as the i5/i7 cpu's spec faster ram than the i3/Pentium cpu's

in your case the posted link is the correct type and speed DDR3/12000 unregistered and capacity (8GB) so it should work but should is not the same as WILL WORK

if you use the system for work, or things that are critical to you then approved ram should be used

if you already have or can acquire the ram cheap, then it's worth trying in a gaming system or other uncritical uses
