i have this ''HP Z420 Z1 G2 LGA2011'' board

I would like to know which processor supports?

it is supprot a-14nm- like ''E5-2689V4''

or maby  -22nm- like ''E5-2670V2''

or maby  -32nm- like ''E5-2660''

and which series is fit\supports ? ''E5-26XX'' or ''E5-16XX''?

like this cpu:''E5-1650 SR0KZ 6 Core'' Would it work for me ?

another question What is the difference between ''FCLGA2011'' and ''LGA 2011''?

Check you boot block date in bios.

2011 - only supports 32nm v1 CPU

2013 - supports both 32nm v1 and 22nm v2 CPU

E5-1650 SR0KZ is a good choice as it will work in any machine and is reasonably inexpensive for the performance it offers.

This is also a great choice, and a better one if you are into multi core / multi thread workloads. There are also advantages arrising from the lower TDP and possibility to utilise 2 of these processors if you ever get a Z620 / Z820.

The prices fo the E5 v1 processors are pretty attractive at the moment - waiting for the v2 prices to drop somewhat before upgrading.

For the v2 CPU's, the prices for the E5-1650 v2 seem to be going down lately - quite a lot of supply from i.a. the 'new' Mac Pro cylinder users upgrading. But I have a E5-1650 v1 so this may not be a worthwhile upgrade.

The 3 CPU's I would be interested in are:

- 1660 v2 - fastest single core performance of all the v2

- 1680 v2 - as you mentioned

- 2687W v2 - this is an interesting one as its 8C but still offers a minimum of 3.4Ghz going all the way up to 4Ghz. The only problem is it is 150W TDP. For 150W HP recommends their liquid cooling solution, these still appear for sale as new from time to time, so kind of thinking maybe its worth getting one to be ready when the time comes.
