Z440
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I need to install a larger boot drive on my Z440. The workstation was preinstalled with windows 8.1 and dowgraded to Windows 7.  I tried to clone the system disk to a larger one in two different ways:

1. I restored (with system restore) a ShadowProtect backup to the new boot drive and was able to boot from it, but the process stopped with a message that this Windows was not genuine (or something like that).

2. I cloned the system disk to the new one with AOM Backupper, but I was not able to boot from it at all.

Microsoft support could not find a valid product key for Windows 7 only a key for Windows 8.1. It seems that there is no product key for Windows 7 in BIOS, only the original one for 8.1.
