Hello,
I would like to know if the circuit diagram for HP Z600 PSU is available anywhere? I have done a normal google keyword search but couldnt retrieve the circuit diagram. I am not looking for pinouts but the diagram where components in PSU board are mentioned. Something that is compatible with OpenBoardView or even PDF?
I believe such information is available these days, even the whole circuit diagram of motherboard is avaiable for such opensource platform. Hence I would like to know where can I find the circuit diagram for HP Z600 PSU?

switching power supplies can be simple or complex in design, the HP power supplies are somewhere towards the middle to complex design due to the multi rail output design that HP uses
all power supplies use basic design concepts, and if you have a basic knowledge of electronics, you should be able to determine the different sections and isolate where the issue/fault might be. common failures are the diodes/power output transistors and oscillation circuit. if the past sentence is greek to you then that's indication you should not be poking around inside such a device as the high voltage section can deliver nasty surprises
even i would be hesitant about trying to fix these supplies without a multimeter/precision current limited power supply/isolation xformer and previous knowledge on basic power supply design

These are not opensource workstations. The info you are looking for is proprietary. You will not find those via Google. You may wish to target your searching to the HP engineers and try to get through to one of them. You will not find their phone numbers or email addresses here or through this users forum but you may if you call directly to HP and talk your way through the maze. Good luck.
p.s. If you have a blown power supply for a Z600 my recommendation is to just buy a used one off eBay.

@DGroves Thanks! As always really insightful response. I am familiar with the basic principle of switch mode power supply. I wanted to use the loose HP Z600 PSU laying around to study it well. You did add a good depth of what I would need to isolate the issue, which I am really eager to do as its gonna be a good study tool with the one I have laying around.
I am accepting this an an answer, if you have a schematic/circuit diagram of the unit, I would really really really appreciate to have it here or in the email: [Personal Information Removed]
Thanks in advance!

While working with many HP workstations over the past 12 years only a few have had their power supplies go bad. None of the used replacements bought off eBay has come bad, or gone bad later, over that time. You might want a backup plan:

i recommend you follow "SDH" and simply replace the unit as HP does not make this information available. i suspect the supply is a custom design from delta as HP uses this oem in most of their workstation/server models and most consumer pc's
if your curious, there are thousands of tutorials on this subject you can find using google

@SDH Thanks but currently I am not looking it for replacement, to be honest with you I am only interested in repairing it my self as I really dont have the need for Z600 PC right now. I was thinking it more as a donation to local library, once I hand repair it and learn repairing SMPS from it. I understand most folks come here to ask for compatible parts for replacement, I am more on the circuit level learning side with equipment at hand.
Thanks again.

@DGroves Yes thanks indeed! I am actually curious on learning with hands on actual broken SMPS. I wish you could teach power electronics in my university!
I will thoroughly look into the link you provided. Using the info you provided I googled "delta PSU HP" and found the video that I believe is all I need for now:
