HP Recommended

Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I'm new here.

I 've bought used HP Z600 withe this configiration

- 2 x E5506

- 4 Gb memory

- Nvidia Quadro 600

I've add hard disk to install windows 7.

I can boot and go into bios .

I can boot from UBS stick or DVD to install windows 7.

That begin well but few times after, i get blank screen and computer stop reading either the dvd or usb stick.

I've changed:

- memory

- cpu

- graphic card

- hard disk

but issue is the same.

Is that mean motherboard is defective ?

Can you help me ?

based on your screen posts i suspect your install is failing at the part where windows looks for a drive to install windows on, or are you using windows 7 and trying to install from a USB 3.0 port? if so that's the problem

if you are not using the factory restore disk win 7 does not normally have usb 3.0 drivers or the enterprise RST driver  as part of the install

for a generic win 7 disk you must use a USB 2.0 port  and you must also have the correct  "enterprise"RST drivers for the setup and install them using the "F6" option during setup

i recomend simlply copying the driver folder to the usb key and then pointing the driver search to that location when prompted

To install the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) driver during operating system setup, follow these steps:
  1. Press F6 when prompted by the message: ...
  2. Press S to Specify Additional Device.
  3. Insert the F6 driver disk when prompted by the message: ...
  4. Press Enter.

direct link to latest Intel RST enterprise driver

I now recomend windows 10 over win 7 on a z600 as it includes all required drivers for the z600

thanks for you anwser.

I'm not using usb3 port: the problem is the same with DVD.

I've have the same issue while trying to install Linux Mint or trying to boot from Acronis usb sticker :  i get blank screen after few time.

I've added disk controller and put hard drive on it :  same issue.

I think that even without hard drive , i can go further on install process.

I'll try this.
