HP Z820
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear All,

I am confused, nothing new. After following the excellent post on "HP Z820 Blue light, fans at max, no boot after CPU upgrade" I purchased two paired E5-2667V2 3.3 and a motherboard AS#618266-003 believing that they would work, but I get the fan max speed and no post anyway. I tried resetting the CMOS by holding down the yellow button for ten seconds with the power cord unplugged, to no avail.

Anyone have any ideas on where I have gone wrong?

I'm not sure if you actually have the V2 motherboard (2013 Boot Block Date) to support the V2 processors. Please read this post.

Thanks Brian, I am going to find a -004 as they seem to always support the dual v2's. Best of all.
