HP does not update driver packs for Enterprise

HP Recommended
Z8 Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey HP. You have driver packs for Enterprise Deployment. Why don't you ever update them? I downloaded the latest WinPE 10 driver pack. It does not even have nic drivers for HP Workstation Z8 G4 or Z6 G4. This is SO typical of the poor product support HP has demonstrated over the years. This situation is much worse now because you don't even support your current high product line anymore. Dell is happy to get our business.

since you fail to state which system you have, not much i can say other than

1. HP must certify all drivers before posting them in order to maintain ISV/software compliance with the software makers who certify HP workstations for use with their packages, this testing is not trival and is time consuming

2. a winPE disk is used to TROUBLESHOOT a system, as such all the PE disk requires is a known stable working driver set. it does not require or need the latest drivers, however hp does allow you to customize the winPE image to update/remove any drivers that you wish.

it would appear the the original poster may have never made or updated a winPe disk, be it from HP or any other OEM and may not understand just what a WinPE disk is actually used for.

3. HP does update the enterprise driver packages for workstations on a regular basis and lists what has changed in each revision. These enterprise driver packs are for sys admins doing point installs from servers, but can be used by anybody

and should not be confused with the posters complaint about WinPE driver sets which is a  compleatly diffrent driver package

if you check the link below you will see all the workstations hp has enterprise driver packs available

(which does include the Z8/Z4 workstations, and yes it does include the network drivers, their part of the windows 10 OS current drvr pack Release for win 10 v1803 is 2018-07-11)

and last, HP posts this text at the very top of the enterprise driver page i linked to:

  • HP recommends using HP Image Assistant (HPIA) to build a driver pack with the most current drivers available. Download HPIA here.

  • Select a link below to download a driver pack for Microsoft OSes (64-bit). Hover over download link for release date info.
