xw8600 Workstation

Hi all.

I was testing my new second-hand workstation. Everything was fine, I test, install, looking ...

Well I realize that when shutdown everything works fine, but when I try to restart, even when I apply changes in the bios and the PC tries to restart, it gets frozen.

Then I force shutdown with power button( push it few seconds until it shuts off), it shutdown and boots fine, the changes are applied in bios and everything work. But won't reboot correctly.

Has anyone ever encountered something like this? For me it is the first time I see this error in a computer.

Greetings and thanks.

a quick check,  after making sure the bios settings are reset to the defaults

disconnect all hard drives, now try the system will it power up/down using the power button?

if so the issue is  most likely a software one,..... simply reinstall the OS

I already did it, I test the memories with mem test (4 phases).
Without HDD and with default bios config 😞

if you can, try replacing the HD..... I've used this model under XP/win 7/10 without any issues using the bios defaults
