Hello we have received some HP z620 workstations that have the previous owners custom splash logo displayed during normal post.  How can we revert them back to the default HP splash logo??

So I figured it out! Download the most recent version of BIOS for the z series workstation.

Then extract all files to a DOS Bootable Flash Drive.

Boot to the DOS Usb drive. At DOS prompt change directory to  *:\DOSFlash (* is the Flash Drive root drive letter)

Then run command dosflash /I delete (this will remove any custom logo and default to HP logo)

download the latest bios update or the bios utilities (if available) usually one of then should have the tools for loading/restoring a bios boot image screen, the screen image needs to be in a bmp format and under a specific size
