Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

 

Hi folks!

 

There is a problem with my GPU Quadro by nVidia.

 

My config:

i7 4790k

32 gb RAM

256+1tb drives

nVidia Quadro k2200

 

When i replace k2200 on Quadro fx580 (much older)

There is black screen on my monitor

I use remote connection and thats ok.

I log on. Install drivers (fx580). OS found GPU, but there is no image.

 

Anybody could help me to solve that problem?

What does "When i replace k2200 on Quadro fx580 (much older)" mean exactly?

 

"OS found GPU, but there is no image."  Please explain that as well. Did you mean to say the BIOS displayed the power on self test, but afterwards had a black screen without OS login?

 

What is the installed operating system?

 

How could you install drivers for a video card if the screen is blank?

Probably a UEFI thing. The fx580 is a legacy device so you'd need to see if there is a setting in the BIOS to allow for Legacy Video devices.

The setting that iMaxx is referring to is in the Security tab of the BIOS.

 

Click on Secure Boot Configuration and then enable Legacy support.

 If Legacy support is already enabled, the issue could be the card itself.

Thanks for finding this @erico! Couldn't find my link for the BIOS Sim. 😛

In newer units there is an actual setting for keeping UEFI secure boot enabled but to allow for Legacy GPU's. As @erico pointed out, this is the only Legacy setting you will have. All or nothing. 😞
