HPDM
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

Got a problem when updating HPDM 4.7 from SP8 to SP9

The update works fine, but when I try to start the console after the update:

The HPDM console won't start anymore.

Got Java version 8 - update 171.

Windows 10 - 1803

Can you post the Console.log and Server.log for troubleshooting?

Is there any error message on the screen?

Hi

SP10 solved the problem!

Hello,

I've got the same problem. I have a new installation of HPDM and afterwards I tried to install the lastest SP (SP11), but afterwards I was not able to oben the HPDM console anymore.

I figured out, that SP8 is fine, but SP10 and SP11 won't work on my server. The server is a fresh 2016 Windows Server with the latest patches.

Any idea what the problem is?

Under some situations, the upgrade process has a problem creating folders in %ProgramData%.  Please check if the path exists:  C:\ProgramData\HP\HP Device Manager\Console\conf.  If not please manually create this folder and then run the SP11 installer again.  And then try to launch the Console.
