We have HPDM 5.0.3610.3788 installed on one of our Windows 2019 servers. We added all the thin clients across our domain and have categorized them by subnet and HPDM categorized them by OS family automatically. Our end users connect to a terminal farm using RDP, or freerdp in the Linux world. We can manage all of our online devices with templates and have already adjusted stuff like VNC, desktop resolution, sleep settings, etc. We have thin clients running ThinPro 5, 6-64, and 7, with the majority being ThinPro 7.
We want to know how to create a new RDP session and save it to the desktop of the thin client, even if we have to specify all the fields from HPDM and push it out it'll be easier than VNC'ing to individual thin clients to set this up.
Alternatively we were considering just changing the 'computer name' on the existing RDP connection, however we're lost on how to do that as well from HPDM. It looked like we had to manipulate a value in the registry tied to a UUID for the individual connection. Unless there's an alternate way to manipulate connections on the thin client desktop that we're not aware of.
Does anyone know how we could possibly add/change a freerdp connection from HPDM 5.0?
