Solved!

Hp 6200 pro microtower wakes on lan from s5 state only

HP Recommended
6200 prp microtower
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Briefly the problem is that system wont wake on lan when it is in sleep (s3) or hibernate (s4) state. It does when it is normally shutdown (s5), so i can suppose that there is no settings issue with my nic or bios. Also it does wake from sleep when i move the mouse, problem is only with wake on lan thing..

Does anybody have any suggestion? Thanks

Thank you for reply.

The box is windows 10 and is getting os updates, also latest hp support advisor does not suggest any driver update..

I was able to setup ime in bios -i didnt even know about that cool feature- and now i can control power state via webgui!

Thanks for help.

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query!

I would recommend you update the latest bios as per the OS in the unit from HP site. I would also suggest you install the latest IME, chipset and network drivers.

Also set the power plan settings to defaults and check.

Hope this helps.
