Hp Workstation z600
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello There !

I bought two Hp z600 workstations last week both have same configuration as follows :

xeon 5650 (2 processors)

12 mb cache memory

500 gb hard drive

16 gb ram

Nvidia Quadro 4000 Graphics Card

and Both systems have same operating system (i.e Windows 10 64 bit) but one of the machine shows 24 logical processors in task manager while the other one shows only 12 logical processors i dont know why is that my guess is second desktop is using only one processor while there is an extra one to be used Please Help me!

check the bios, does it show one or two cpu's

if 2 cpu's are shown reinstall windows 10

i've seen cases where adding a second cpu after a os has been installed results in windows not properly detecting the new cpu

@DGroves Both cpus are shown in bios , and both were added first then Os was installed my issue has been resolved though i did research a bit on google and found about hyper threading which was disabled by default so i enabled it and restart the machine every thing is all ok now 🙂
