Subject: Request for HP Z840 Motherboard Schematic for Repair

Dear HP Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to seek assistance regarding my HP Z840 workstation, which has unfortunately been damaged due to a power surge. The issue has rendered the system inoperative, and after consulting with local technicians, it has become clear that repairing the motherboard requires access to its schematic diagram.

As there are no authorized HP service centers or representatives available in Iran, I am unable to obtain the necessary support for this repair locally. Therefore, I kindly request your assistance in providing the motherboard schematic or guiding me toward a solution that would enable me to restore my workstation to operational condition.

I rely on this workstation for critical tasks, and your help in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if additional information or documentation is needed to process my request.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Best regards,

@Arash10,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

That's a toughie, because finding the schematics for an HP Z840 Workstation motherboard is challenging since HP generally does not make detailed motherboard schematics publicly available. These documents are considered proprietary and only used internally by the company or authorized service centers.

Here is pretty much all publicly available information pertaining to the HP Z840 Workstation: HP Z840 Workstation - Setup and User Guides | HP® Support, with this "Maintenance and Service Guide" probably being as close as you can get from HP: HP Z440, Z640, and Z840 Workstation Series Maintenance and Service Guide.

Other resources you may pursue:

Given my own experience with defective motherboards, it is almost always preferable, if you can, to look for a replacement (used) motherboard (p/n: 761510-001 / 905483-601 / 710327-002).

Kind Regards,
