Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Z840 workstation that boots to LSI  MPT's SAS Bios.  That will show the bootable drive but then goes to a screen for Intel Boot Agent via the network.

I have tried CMOS reset a few times.  Still comes up to that screen.

I have tried to get to the BIOS by tapping f10, Delete key, F9 and F12 and still nothing.  I can not boot to a USB drive because the LSI Bios doesn't find it.

Wow, right off the bat.  I found an older HP PS2 Keyboard and all of a sudden I got new menus.

I was able to access the BIOS because of the keyboard.

Thank you!

first, if using a usb keyboard replace it with a different model many usb keyboards play fast and loose with the electronics to get a cheap retail price these cheap usb keyboards sometimes have bad usb signaling due to this

second, if possible get a older PS2 based keyboard from a OEM such as HP or dell

newer ps2 keyboards can have the same cost related issues so i favor the older OEM PS2 keyboards

if no other keyboard is available, disconnect the drives from the LSI ports and power on, the system should time out and if it does reboot and tap the "F10" rapidly until you enter the bios

in regards to HD access/boot, it's best to place the boot drive on one of the two grey SATA 3 6GBps ports and connect the optical drive to the other grey sata port

the internal 4 hotswap drives should be moved off of the LSI ports (along the bottom of the motherboard)

and connected to the 5 Intel "sata SCU" ports that are next to the two grey sata ports
