HP ProDesk 600 G1 Base Model Tower PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I want to upgrade my prodesk psu (all to power a 1660 super) but all compatible ones from hp (where I live at least) are expensive, and no other psus have the same mounting holes in the same position as my prodesk (or at least not to my knowledge)

@OmarZX_PSG_guy,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

In order to power a GTX 1660 Super in your HP ProDesk 600 G1 Tower, I would recommend at least a 400-watt power supply equipped with one 8-pin PCIe power cable. Because the best proprietary power supply compatible with your Tower is a 320-watt unit, we need to come up with another solution.

The solution is to use an ATX power adapter cable, specifically designed for use with your HP ProDesk 600 G1 Tower, such as this AliExpress purchase example: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256803803735765.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.3.205dmr8ymr8yCU&alg....

Whatever ATX power adapter cable you buy, make sure it specifically specifies "ATX Power Adapter Cable for HP ProDesk 600 G1".

This ATX power adapter cable will enable you to use an industry standard ATX power supply to power your PC and your graphics card.

Kind Regards,
