Z4 G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We have bought an HP Z4 with a M2 harddisk (product type 5JA29EA). Windows 10 is preinstalled but I would like to be able to install Windows from our MDT / WDS environment or, in worst case, from DVD. To do this I have disabled secure boot in the BIOS. But no luck so far. When I replaced the M2 disk with a conventional disk I was able to install from DVD but not with MDT / WDS. I have imported the complete driverpack in the MDT environment.

Have you tried to CLONE your existing HDD's to the new M.2 drives? use a cloning utility...and all your partitions including the recovery one...will be then preserved...

This is a nice tip. But because we have more of this pc's I would like very much if Windows (and our applications) could be deployed via a network boot and automated installation. For now this would help me but I would like to be ready for unexpected troubles in the future. This is the only type of HP pc we have where Windows will not deploy via MDT / WDS.
