Interesting Results from PERFORMANCE ADVISER on Z840

HP Recommended
Z840
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After running PERFORMANCE ADVISER on my Z840, I get a warning message as follows:

Warning MessageWarning Message

If you look at the block diagram of my machine as far as I can tell RAM modules are in the correct positions, so the question is, why do I get this warning?

Block DiagramBlock Diagram

If you look at the CPUs on the machine, again there is a warning that PROCESSORS DO NOT MATCH IN SPEED, yet all info says they are identical. Why is this?

i have seen cpu remarkings, but this usually happens on the higher priced models a lot more than lower models

more common is having one retail oe production cpu and the second cpu being a pre production model (QS or ES) SPEC code

i suspect this is what is happening in your case ,...one retail and one pre-retail cpu, both can have the same model number, but pre retail can have diffrent speeds or features disabled check the SPEC codes by googling them

OK I installed the CPU identification tool and it reports both CPUs as identical for both reported and expected speed.

I do not see SPEC NUMBER listed anywhere on either apps interface, so where exactly do I find the SPEC NUMBERS?

questions can be quickly answered/found by using a search engine

if you have a question/problem that you have researched, post what you have done trying to resolve it, and i'll see if i have any suguestions that might help

i would confirm the ram is in the correct slots, and that all ram is the same speed
