Besides my HP Z800 on Win 10, and Win 7, I wanted a Z840 and got it but wounded up very disappointed because I can install a Canon MP560 printer, an Infoprint 1332 with no issues, but totally impossible to get a Brother 7840W to install in the very same network, I have tried for hours to no avail.  Followed suggestions on line, and nothing.  The  7840W printer works fine on Win 7, and Win 10 on the Z800s, two of them, but nothing on Z840.  Some help would be appreciated.  Thanks to all.

Z840 Dual 2.6, 32Ram, Nvidia 4000

simply saying "i've done stuff" but can't get it to work is not helpful to anyone trying to help,....... can you please be more descriptive on how you are installing the driver, which driver you are using, and any errors encountered

 

also you fail to mention WHICH os the z840 has
