Hi:

I use this one on my HP business-class desktops.

For the Bluetooth to work, you need to connect the USB cable that comes with the kit to one of the internal USB connections on your PC's motherboard, and the other end plugs into the back of the adapter (the 9 gold pins).

Which PCIe slot do you use it in? Thank you for the link and you're prompt response.....

You're very welcome.

Looking at the motherboard, you can install the card in any one of the black PCI express slots.

I wouldn't use the slots meant for the video cards though.

What I don't easily see are the internal USB connectors, and the specs for your PC indicate that there should be 3 of them.

The connectors look nothing like USB ports, they are rectangular sockets with I believe have 9 pins.

5 in one row and 4 in the other row.

as i recall the z800 motherboards two internal usb ports are placed in the same location as the z820 (which has 3) along the bottom of the board near the other connections for power sound/firewire and they have a blue base and as paul said are in a 5x4 (or a 5x5) configuration

i do recall that the side panel of the z800 and the service manual both document the exact locations on the board

last, the current bluetooth spec is 5.0 as i recall, and i've used the pci-e card and USB based dongles and in my opinion for a internal setup on the z800 i would use a usb based dongle and a cable to connect the internal z800 usb header to a normal usb female connector at the other end and then route the cable/dongle to the front of the z800 behind the plastic case for best reception
