Hello,

The product I own is EliteDesk 800 G3 SFF.

The BIOS says my machine is EliteDesk 800 G3 SFF, the Serial# is [Personal Information Removed] and SKU ID# is 2HD23UP#ABC.

However, the HP Support Assistant detects my machine as HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2, and surprisingly with the exact same serial and SKU. I tried HP's "Detect my device" and the result is same as Support Assistant.

Now when Support Assistant scans, detects, downloads and installs drivers for my machine, what happens? Am I installing the correct drivers or not?

Hi

Don't touch anything at all
contact your dealer and hp
The two not strictly nothing to do, indeed, the serial number, which you should remove here, indicates a model under warranty

what you said you have is completely different
links of both possible:

The serial number provided does not match the previously selected product. It matches the product:  HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2

HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2 PC Product Specifications

Covered under Manufacturer warranty13  months remaining for this one
Either there is a very big error in the HP support, or something is wrong with your computer.
Above all, do not use updates, especially the bios

the two models you list look nothing like each other, one is a mini SFF box, the other is a tablet

where are you getting the serial from?

on the SFF box it's a label on the bottom of the system

does it look like this?

it's remotely possible that HP has a error in their system that has linked these two systems as one

either way as the previous poster stated do not apply any updates or bios updates!!!!

have HP sort this out first

Thank you and sorry for my late reply.

Fortunately, BIOS is fine. It detects the correct model.

It's definitely an issue with Support Assistant.
