 Is there any modification or changes made in monitors imported from the US  with regard to its configuration or specification for use in India?

@JCMamuana07 -- the difference is that the voltage used in INDIA is 220V at 50 cycles. North America uses 110V at 60 cycles.  Check that your imported-to-India monitor will accept "double" the voltage, without blowing up real good.

what are you referring to, when you say 'imported'
Is this a model you want to buy directly in the United States?
or is it a model that is sold in your country all the same?
aside from the likely power issue as mentioned by the reviewer..
You risk having major warranty support problems if the model is purchased in a different country.
If this is the case, I strongly advise you to look for a model available at home, there are many references
